Sägt hier jemand an dem Ast, auf dem er lange Jahre ziemlich komfortabel saß? Das Cover macht es fast überdeutlich: Von der Gitarre will Ex-Soundgarden- und Ex-Audioslave-Vorsteher Chris Cornell erst mal nichts mehr wissen. Jedenfalls nicht mehr in der vertrauten Darreichungsform. Mit Hingabe zerdeppert das in die Jahre gekommene Energiebündel sein Instrument, das auf "Scream" nur noch als Versatzstück einer lupenreinen R&B-Produktion auftaucht. Der Gralshüter des Grunge und der R&B? Jawohl, Timbaland, den Hitproduzenten für jedermann (Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake, Madonna), heuerte Cornell eigens an.
