Biografie
Poets of the Fall ist eine im Jahr 2003 von Marko Saaresto und Olli Tukiainen gegründete Alternative-Rock-Band aus Helsinki, Finnland. Die Mitglieder sind Marko "Mark" Saaresto, Olli "Ollie" Tukiainen und Markus "Captain" Kaarlonen. Die Band veröffentlichte die Singles Late Goodbye und Lift, vor ihrem Debütalbum Signs of Life, welches am 19. Januar 2005 in Finnland erschien. Das Album erreichte nach etwas mehr als vier Monaten Gold-Status und hat mittlerweile auch das Platin-Limit durchbrochen. Es stieg direkt auf Platz 1 der finnischen Top40 Charts ein und verweilte dort für über ein Jahr.
